I'm Rickard Molin, and I founded Locamundo with a comprehensive goal in mind. My ambition was to create a platform where everyone can feel secure that only high-quality services are offered. My purpose is to make Locamundo the go-to tool for everyone interested in location scouting. I want to support you as a location scout by providing you with the tools you need to succeed, while ensuring your independence is never compromised.
Locamundo's History
My journey in the film and TV industry began with props and set design, where I participated in nearly 800 commercials and many TV series. Despite a successful career, back problems eventually put a stop to my original path. My commitment to the industry led me to found Independent Studios in Nacka, but after two years of hard work, I realized it was time to find a new way forward.
As a set designer, I was used to finding film production locations myself, so when I changed my career path, it was natural to become a location scout. At that time, all material was saved on paper copies and videotapes – and yes, I still have boxes filled with material in the attic!
When digitalization arrived, I looked for a tool that could help me organize my work as a location scout. That's when I discovered Locamundo – a platform developed in Belgium by another location scout. The system was specifically designed for our profession, and I quickly became convinced of its value.
When the original entrepreneur behind Locamundo decided to leave the project, I saw an opportunity. I bought the system and have since operated it on my own. But Locamundo has always continued to evolve with input from you – location scouts who know what it takes to succeed in our profession.

With over 1 million location images and specially designed tools to collect, present, and store locations, we offer everything you need to streamline your work. And let me be clear – you always remain your own boss. Locamundo never influences how you run your business. We are here to support you, not control you.
For site owners, Locamundo offers a direct link to film and TV producers looking for unique environments for their projects. We take no commission, and all compensation is up to you to handle – just as it should be.
